| "Grout was a stage coach stop, and small village. Now it consists of farms, several abandoned school buildings, and the cemetery, which is now maintained by the Township and has been renamed. Orbs, coldspots, erie feelings, a white mist.
M-61 west from Gladwin, to McCulloch Rd. and turn south. Go approximately two and one half miles to Gedney Road and turn west. The cemetery is about three quarters of a mile down on the south side. The Cemetery is split in two by a large path, the front half is newer while the back half is the old graves. The rear half has trees that have grown into graves. The old sign here is unreadable. "
